Cherry Picker Operator
About The Position
This position involves picking, pulling, and moving products throughout the warehouse while operating a Cherry Picker forklift. The role requires safely retrieving items from elevated storage locations, accurately fulfilling orders, and staging products for shipment while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Requirements
- Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs,; weight may be more dependent upon facility.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pull, and move products throughout the warehouse while operating a Cherry Picker forklift.
- Safely retrieve items from elevated storage locations.
- Accurately fulfill orders.
- Stage products for shipment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Write the order number, name of the receiver, and quantity of case on every order, box, pallet, packages and bins pulled.
- Report bad tickets right away to the appropriate leader.
- Pull all orders in a timely manner.
- Help run freight and locate product.
- Report broken pallets to supervisor.
- Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
- Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station.
- Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.
