About The Position

Lakeside Book Company is hiring a Cherry Picker Operator for its Plainfield, Indiana facility. The role operates a cherry picker, stand-up forklift, and walkie stacker to pick and stow product, perform cycle counts, and complete other duties as assigned. Employees are expected to follow all safety guidelines. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with required overtime, including Saturdays. New hires participate in a 90-day evaluation period intended to support training and successful integration into the team; listed benefits begin after that period.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of previous order picker experience.
• Ability to work at heights of 30 feet or more.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and stoop.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Safety shoes are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cherry picker, stand-up forklift, and walkie stacker.
• Perform case and full-pallet picking.
• Stow product.
• Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory levels.
• Complete other duties on or off the forklift as assigned.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
