About The Position

Zeno Power is seeking a highly motivated Chemical Technician to support the efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power System (RPS) technologies. In this role you will perform daily experiments under direction of Project Lead Chemist, assist with documenting experimental procedures, hazards assessments, and results, and assist with literature searches and technical documentation. You will also prepare bulk solutions and in-house chemicals, prepare calibration standard solutions and samples for instrumental analyses, and stock and monitor laboratory supplies. Additionally, you will assist and support the Hardware lab and the Chemistry lab, support EH&S to ensure a safe working environment, help manage and facilitate chemical waste collection, assist with instrument and equipment maintenance and calibration, and support Zeno Power Systems Safety Culture.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in Chemistry or equivalent from accredited university
  • 2+ years of laboratory experience
  • Hands-on experience in disciplines related to analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and materials science
  • Ability to communicate across disciplines.
  • Ability to present data to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in an uncertain environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to coordinate and lead efforts with minimal direction.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Must have excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills.

Benefits

  • The anticipated pay band for this position is $30-$45/hr.
