About The Position

Dominion Energy Virginia Clover Power Station is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Associate Chemistry Technician, Chemistry Technician or Senior Chemistry Technician. With two openings available, we’re excited to expand our team and welcome individuals who are passionate about supporting safe and efficient power generation. In this role, successful candidates will contribute to station operations by performing chemical analyses, supporting environmental monitoring efforts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position plays a critical role in maintaining optimal water chemistry and treatment systems across the facility. These roles will be filled at a level commensurate with each candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Requirements

  • Associate Chemistry Technician: 0 - 2 years directly related experience.
  • Associate Chemistry Technician: Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory concepts and techniques.
  • Associate Chemistry Technician: Basic knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Associate Chemistry Technician: Basic knowledge of computer applications.
  • Associate Chemistry Technician: Ability to analyze and organize information.
  • Chemistry Technician: 2+ years directly related experience.
  • Chemistry Technician: Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory concepts and techniques.
  • Chemistry Technician: Basic knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Chemistry Technician: Basic knowledge of computer applications.
  • Chemistry Technician: Ability to analyze and organize information.
  • Senior Chemistry Technician: 5+ years directly related experience.
  • Senior Chemistry Technician: Broad knowledge and application of principles, practices, and procedures to carry out all aspects of the job and handle the most complex work.
  • Senior Chemistry Technician: Demonstrated knowledge of chemistry instrumentation.
  • Senior Chemistry Technician: Demonstrated instructional traits.
  • Senior Chemistry Technician: Knowledge of operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of instruments used in the lab.
  • Senior Chemistry Technician: Knowledge at a level that far exceeds a chemistry technician.
  • Possession and utilization of leadership traits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical sampling and analysis of water, fuel, and environmental systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab instrumentation.
  • Monitor and report on cooling towers, wastewater, and potable water systems.
  • Prepare documentation for environmental and regulatory reporting.
  • Support unit startup and recommend chemical adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and ensure lab safety compliance.
