As a Chemistry Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting Xylem's Life Science Value Stream by producing high-quality membranes, reagents, and laboratory products that directly contribute to innovative water testing and environmental monitoring solutions. Your work will ensure customers receive reliable products on time while helping maintain the quality standards that make Xylem a trusted global leader. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing, academic, or quality-control setting OR an Associate degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Ability to work in a laboratory and clean room environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as pH meters, analytical balances, stir plates, and related instrumentation.
  • Experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data using spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, formulate, and test reagents to support customer orders and production requirements.
  • Produce membranes for customer delivery and internal operational needs.
  • Support clean room manufacturing activities, including product testing, labeling, packaging, and preparation.
  • Manufacture quality control reagents used for validation and product verification testing.
  • Document production data, test results, and batch records accurately and consistently.
  • Perform scheduled clean room sanitation and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and customer demand.
  • Assist Research & Development teams with new product development initiatives and testing activities.
  • Maintain compliance with laboratory procedures, safety standards, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Support additional clean room and laboratory operations as business needs require.
