About The Position

Jesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to teach high school Chemistry in a Catholic all-male setting. This teacher will be expected to form and educate young men to be open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, committed to working for justice and physically fit. The role involves teaching five sections of Chemistry or other Sciences courses such as Environmental Science, serving as a contributing member of the Science Department, and collaborating with course level teams on lesson planning, assessment design, and grading. The position also requires participation in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation, as well as student-centered co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Chemistry Education, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience teaching Advanced Placement science courses preferred.
  • Experience teaching in a Standards Aligned Curriculum a plus.
  • Ability to coach high school athletics preferred.
