Chemistry TA or Stockrooom
About The Position
This position serves as a Teaching Assistant in chemistry laboratories, assisting professors with student questions regarding laboratory techniques and applications. Alternatively, if working in the stockroom, responsibilities include setting up labs, preparing solutions, managing inventory, stocking labs, and maintaining cleanliness. The role requires a current Mercer undergraduate student with a completed course history relevant to the lab they wish to TA, or at least one semester of General Chemistry for stockroom duties. The pay rate starts at $11.00 per hour, with potential for increases based on experience. Scheduled hours are 15 per week.
Requirements
- Must be a current Mercer undergraduate.
- Completed course history in the lab for which you want to TA (e.g., 1 year of Gen Chem to be a Gen Chem TA).
- For stockroom, must have completed at least 1 semester of General Chemistry.
