About The Position

The Chemistry Laboratory Technician I supports dairy testing laboratory operations by following applicable quality-system documentation, including the Quality Manual, SOPs, and methods, and adhering to quality, regulatory, health, safety, and environmental requirements. The role includes registering incoming samples, accurately entering sample data into Eurofins eLIMS, maintaining records of work and quality-control testing, and learning to operate dairy testing instruments and validate results. The technician also identifies process difficulties and reports them with proposed solutions, responds to the needs of clients and colleagues, communicates across departments, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow quality-system documents relevant to assigned responsibilities, including the Quality Manual, SOPs, and methods.
• Adhere to quality measures and applicable NCIMS 2400 forms, other regulatory requirements, and company requirements.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Register incoming samples.
• Maintain neat and accurate records of daily work and records needed for quality-control tests or regulatory purposes.
• Enter sample data into Eurofins eLIMS accurately and in a timely manner.
• Learn to operate dairy testing instruments efficiently and ensure results are properly validated.
• Identify process difficulties and report them to management with proposed solutions.
• Respond to the queries and needs of clients, staff, and coworkers.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with company employees.
• Communicate orally and in writing with intra- and interdepartmental coworkers.
• Promote the company image through sound and ethical business practices with the public and customers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
