Remote Chemistry Expert
About The Position
This fully remote contract role supports leading AI labs in fine-tuning large language models using advanced chemistry expertise. The expert will create chemistry problems to assess AI performance, develop rigorous step-by-step solutions, evaluate AI responses for accuracy and reasoning quality, and collaborate with researchers to improve benchmarks spanning undergraduate through PhD-level chemistry topics. No prior AI experience is required. Assignments have defined start and end dates and may be up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $100+ per hour, depending on the role and candidate expertise. Shortlisted candidates must complete an evaluation before selection.
Requirements
- Pursuing or completed PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong chemistry reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced domains.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and provide structured feedback.
