About The Position
Sacred Heart University’s Department of Chemistry and Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach introductory undergraduate courses and labs in various areas of chemistry: General Chemistry lab, Organic Chemistry lab, Chemistry for nurses lectures and labs. Graduate-level adjuncts are also needed to teach courses in Analytical Chemistry, Chromatography and Spectroscopy. The successful candidate will actively promote a collegial environment and consciously apply our mission and values to create a safe space where all may thrive and succeed.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Chemistry
- Prior teaching experience
- For graduate-level instructors: Ph.D. in Chemistry and practical experience within this field.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory undergraduate courses and labs in various areas of chemistry, including General Chemistry lab, Organic Chemistry lab, and Chemistry for nurses lectures and labs.
- Teach graduate-level courses in Analytical Chemistry, Chromatography, and Spectroscopy.
- Actively promote a collegial environment.
- Consciously apply mission and values to create a safe space where all may thrive and succeed.
