Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years applicable laboratory experience
  • Must be physically able to safely perform required laboratory duties
  • Experience working with testing equipment (GC, GCMS, HPLC, NIR, Spectrophotometer, pH meter, DMA, etc)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to function within a team environment
  • SAP, HACCP, and ISO or Continuous Improvement experience
  • Must have mobility to access all areas of the Plant, good visual acuity (correctable), good sense of hearing (correctable), and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing and able to taste alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to travel when required.

Responsibilities

  • Promote quality, environmental, health and safety achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Promote the ownership of quality to the employees, performing activities in the manufacturing processes
  • Promote and adhere to food safety (HACCP/ GMP), quality standards, ISO and continual improvement initiatives.
  • Perform laboratory analyses as required and react to out of specification results/ data as needed.
  • Analyze data to solve problems, verify the effectiveness of processes, etc.
  • Issue technical reports based on findings or results.
  • Ensure products are within regulatory and specification requirements. React appropriately, when products do not adhere to those requirements.
  • Monitor and react to quality assurance testing.
  • Lead or work on projects.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, SOP, OPL, SWI
  • Lead or participate in problem solving activities.
  • Perform verification/ calibration of testing equipment (GC, GCMS, HPLC, NIR, Spectrophotometer, pH meter, DMA, etc).
  • Perform validations of equipment performances such as vision systems, bottle rinser, check weigher, torque meters, pull force testers, torque meters, etc.
  • Perform packaging material testing and qualifications
  • Conduct analysis on returned products and report data to the Sr. Quality Assurance Manager as appropriate.
  • Assist with other duties or projects assigned by the Sr. Quality Assurance Manager.
