About The Position

Perform hands-on experimental chemistry in support of research, development, and production of Defense programs. Use scientific chemical expertise to assist with the improvement of products, analyses, or procedures. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts with industry knowledge. Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity.

Requirements

Experience with research in chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, or chemical biology, including in an academic research environment
Knowledge of relationships between chemical properties, including material, structural, or electrical
Ability to present complex scientific concepts to a broad audience
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and solve problems
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

Experience with data analysis, fundamental chemical reactions, fundamental chemical properties, and experimental procedures
Experience in laboratory work through college coursework or research and industrial work
Knowledge of chemical safety
Ability to maintain a safe chemical working environment
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
American Chemical Society (ACS) Degree Certification
