The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Army’s mission to develop, acquire, field, and sustain ground combat, tactical, and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations. Under this contract, personnel provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals, safety standards, and performance requirements. The Chemist provides technical and analytical support for military ground vehicle sustainment, industrial operations, environmental compliance, and quality assurance programs. This position performs chemical analyses and evaluations of fuels, lubricants, coatings, corrosion-control materials, hazardous substances, and industrial processes used in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of military vehicles and equipment. The Chemist supports operational readiness by conducting laboratory testing, interpreting analytical results, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing technical recommendations that improve equipment performance, reliability, and environmental stewardship. This position is contingent upon award.
