About The Position

Emerson’s Liquid Analysis team is seeking a Chemist for a laboratory-based role at its Shakopee, Minnesota location. The role supports new technology development, new product development, and sustaining engineering for process analytical equipment used in liquid analysis. The Chemist works with cross-functional engineering teams to plan and conduct testing, analyze and communicate results, and support product and engineering reviews.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
Zero years of related experience.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Support testing activities for new technology research, new product development, and sustaining engineering.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to formulate test goals and plans.
Execute laboratory testing, analyze data, document results, and communicate findings.
Maintain laboratory safety by safely handling chemicals and developing safe testing procedures.
Participate in product development, quality, design, and peer reviews.
Initiate routine engineering change authorizations.
