The Research Chemist is responsible for PR&D projects, beginning at costing through conclusion or scale-up. Chemists work in both a team and individual capacity to ensure customer satisfaction through safe channels.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in research.
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Experience in data analysis, statistical modelling, and research tools.

Responsibilities

  • Must be familiar with a wide range of chemical reactions/protocols
  • Plan, price, execute, and report on chemical research project or synthetic campaigns
  • Anticipate and predict chemical safety hazards
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, product teams, and academic institutions
  • Oversee research projects from inception to completion, ensuring methodologies, data collection, and analysis are rigorous and valid.
  • Must be knowledgeable in various analytical methods/apparatus
  • Develop approaches to resolve clients, and internal issues/projects.
  • Perform bench work and scale up work as needed
  • Resolve operational and analyst issues, including on nights and weekends.
  • Procure operational materials.
  • Participate in company meetings as directed.
  • Continually look for and recommend leadership process, product, and productivity improvements
  • Other miscellaneous duties as requested from time to time.
