About The Position

The Chemist I position is based in North Sioux City, SD, and involves handling samples, performing analyses, and reporting accurate and timely data. This role requires adherence to Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies, as well as maintaining and verifying equipment. The Chemist I is also responsible for documenting all quality activities and identifying nonconformities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field or commercial laboratory experience
- 3+ years of prior laboratory experience in related work
- Language Skills: English
- Mathematical Skills: Basic level of knowledge
- Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Basic level
- Proficient Computer Skills
- Basic use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite required
- Experience with LIMS system
Responsibilities
- Handles samples and performs analyses according to Operating Procedures and test methodology
- Maintains and verifies equipment
- Reports deficiencies or malfunction to the supervisor
- Maintains records of all quality activities as documented in Operating Procedures and test methods
- Identifies and records nonconformities on Corrective Action Requests
