This is an entry level role with responsibility for performing a variety of routine and non-routine tasks in a regulated laboratory environment in order to support, as well as help develop, pharmaceutical platforms. The chemist I will work in conformance with company policies, current Good Lab Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements. Individuals will perform procedures for process/analysis and assist their manager and peers with routine and non-routine Quality Control and Research procedures. We’re working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. This role is 100% onsite at our Rice Creek, MN manufacturing site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology or related technical discipline with 0+ years of experience.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • Must be able to stand/sit/walk up to 8 hrs/day.

Nice To Haves

  • Perform experiments at bench height, perform light lifting/bending or stretching to support test apparatus setup or teardown.
  • General wet chemistry laboratory techniques and/or experience with liquid chromatography (UPLC/HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), dissolution (Apparatus 2 and 7), Karl Fischer, FT-IR, and UV-Vis.
  • Experience with chromatography software (Empower).
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • The ability to work in a laboratory with solvents and pharmaceutical substances.
  • Solid technical ability, experience with equipment set up, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all quality system requirements
  • Perform preparation, collection, measurement and recordkeeping of samples
  • Document test and data analysis results
  • Participate on cross-functional teams for continuous improvement activities
  • Communicate with team members to ensure schedule requirements are met
  • Apply knowledge of performed tasks to elucidate test method failures
  • Analyze and deduce data and collate test results
  • Communicate priority and timeliness for completion of customer requests
  • Help drive the team to meet business goals
  • Support development area as needed / commercial QC release
  • Learn and understand the manufacturing organization that the lab supports
