Requirements

• Required minimum of 1-3 years of related work experience or hands-on college laboratory experience.

Nice To Haves

• College education (Preferred) – either graduated or actively pursuing a degree in Protein Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, mixes and/or delivers production chemicals used in a manufacturing or process area where accuracy of chemical composition is important (e.g., agar, media, lyophilized solutions) in process operation.
• Operates autoclaves, preparators, and pressurized kettles.
• Works from written and verbal instructions.
• Removes and disposes of waste chemicals, solvents and acids.
• Performs upkeep and cleaning of laboratory spaces, equipment, and glassware.
• Handles SAP transactions for consumption of materials used.
• May be required to clean up chemical spills.
