Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Travel in personal vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

  • Initialize and/or print paperwork for the sampling and testing of components.
  • Receive, verify, and log samples for chemical testing.
  • Perform sampling of various chemical components in sampling booths or suites.
  • Perform inspections of chemical components received in tankers (travel in personal vehicle is required).
  • Perform sampling of highly potent chemicals wearing specialized PPE.
  • Performs tasks involving the physical movement of chemical components in a warehouse setting. Movement includes lifting smaller containers by hand, moving larger containers and pallets with a forklift or electric pallet jack, or using a drum-lift to lift drums and place them on pallets. It also includes use of a pallet wrapper to wrap pallets.
  • May perform and verify data entry of sampling and chemical testing results.
  • Sort retain samples into waste categories and dispose of and log samples into designated waste containers.
  • Within area of responsibility, understand and comply with all DPT safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational/departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
