About The Position

The Chemical Process Operator operates Equiax (Eqx), Directionally Solidified (DS), and Single Crystal (SX) vacuum furnaces to produce high-quality investment castings in accordance with engineering procedures, customer specifications, and required lead times. The operator helps develop and improve casting processes, troubleshoots process variations, and provides technical support to manufacturing. The role also supports efforts to reduce scrap and casting costs while maintaining quality standards. The position performs vacuum-casting tasks, furnace start-up and equipment checks, alloy and mold verification, casting-cycle monitoring, and required manufacturing documentation. It includes supporting training and process changes, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and assisting maintenance with small repairs and adjustments to furnaces when selected for technical knowledge and mechanical ability. The posted shift is third shift; the operator reports 12–15 minutes before shift start for a paid handoff from the previous shift.
