About The Position

The Chemical Process Operator operates Equiax (Eqx), Directionally Solidified (DS), and Single Crystal (SX) vacuum furnaces to produce investment castings that meet customer specifications and quality standards. The role contributes to developing and improving casting processes based on engineering requirements, troubleshoots process variations, and supports manufacturing departments with technical assistance. The position also helps ensure timely production while controlling scrap and casting costs. The operator performs vacuum-casting duties, prepares and checks equipment, verifies alloys and molds, operates casting furnaces, and completes required production documentation. The role participates in production and improvement initiatives, supports training, promotes safe and orderly work areas, and may assist maintenance with minor furnace repairs and adjustments when selected for technical knowledge and mechanical ability. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent life experience. Previous foundry experience or a college degree is a plus. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents in accordance with ITAR regulations. The work involves standing, handling tools and controls, and lifting loads up to 50 pounds, as well as exposure to moving mechanical parts and variable noise levels in a manufacturing environment.
