About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join one of our clients in Festus, MO. This position is responsible for optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and reliable plant operations. The ideal candidate is analytical, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • 2–4 years of engineering or manufacturing operations experience.
  • Knowledge of process optimization, continuous improvement, and production operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and industrial software applications.
  • Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in heavy manufacturing, cement, mining, aggregates, or other industrial process environments is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and support process flow studies to improve production efficiency and system performance.
  • Design, schedule, and implement process improvement projects that enhance productivity, reliability, and product quality.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, and automation teams to identify process issues, minimize downtime, and improve equipment performance.
  • Analyze equipment failures and production interruptions, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain process monitoring and performance analysis programs.
  • Ensure work orders identified through operations and safety inspections are communicated to the maintenance planning team.
  • Supervise contractors working on process improvement and production-related projects.
  • Track project costs and maintain accurate documentation for process control initiatives.
  • Promote and enforce all safety, environmental, and company policies while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Participate in daily plant inspections and weekly safety meetings to identify and eliminate potential hazards.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel on process improvements and operational best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support routine operations and respond to plant emergencies as needed.
  • Provide operational support and leadership coverage when required.
