About The Position

The Chemical Operator is responsible for maintaining safety, plant production, operating efficiency and regulatory compliance. This role involves performing basic tasks interacting with pumps, pipes, valves, and HMIs to prepare and charge material into the manufacturing batch process. The operator also drives a forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials, performs basic lab testing, and counts and reports inventory daily, assisting with monthly counts. Additionally, the operator follows and performs lock out tag out (LOTO) for maintenance work on equipment, maintains a clean and safe work area, and keeps accurate records including batch sheets, lab data entries, and shift turnover documents. The role also includes recommending methods to improve production and equipment, assisting others in troubleshooting, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to climb steps, stairs, and ladders on a repetitive basis.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations necessary for position’s essential duties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Reliable transportation for attendance required.
  • Dependability and Punctuality.

  • Previous chemical plant experience preferred.
