About The Position

At Johnson Matthey, the Chemical Operator joins a company with more than 200 years of history in platinum group metals. The Operator processes, refines, and fabricates precious metals and chemical products. They follow written and verbal procedures, operate and monitor multiple processes, perform routine testing, maintain production records and material traceability, and support housekeeping, waste handling, and continuous improvement in a safe and organized workplace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to apply scientific or technical knowledge in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining quality standards.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process, refine, and fabricate precious metals and chemical products through a range of operational activities.
• Follow written and verbal operating procedures to complete production tasks safely and accurately.
• Monitor and control multiple process operations while maintaining product quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine testing and checks to support process control and product specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure full traceability of materials throughout the process.
• Support housekeeping, waste handling, and continuous improvement activities to maintain a safe, organized workplace.
