The Chemical Operator will be responsible for performing periodic meter and gauge readings of air, water, steam and gas flows, temperatures, pressures and plant processes. They will verify the accuracy of readings, monitor flows and changes in systems and processes, and calculate and implement adjustments to correct inaccuracies. The role involves operating computer programs for recovery systems, monitoring flows, and making adjustments to control and correct inaccuracies. Data input, resetting equipment, monitoring transfers, identifying problem areas, and making independent judgments concerning operations are key aspects. The operator will also assist with operational duties in outside areas, including inspecting, maintaining, and adjusting equipment, collecting samples, performing laboratory analyses, and keeping records. Additionally, they will assist with clean-up and area upkeep to maintain a clean and safe environment.
