About The Position

SMS Staffing is hiring immediately for Chemical Operators. This role involves operating a forklift, labeling and filling drums, and using a variety of pumps and hoses to fill tanks and tank trucks. The Chemical Operator will also be responsible for correctly filling out manufacturing paperwork and checklists, keeping work areas clean and neat, and following all safety policies. Execution of assigned activities and responsibilities involving food safety, when required, are also part of the role.

Requirements

• Read and write English
• Have basic math capabilities
• Feel comfortable working around chemicals
• Must be able to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• Must be able to work overtime, as needed
• Must be able to wear safety equipment (i.e., respirators, gloves, acid suit, goggles, and steel-toed work boots/shoes)
• May be required to work outdoors
• May involve heavy lifting and climbing
