Chemical Mixer - 1st Shift (7AM - 3PM)

About The Position

Operate the mixing area assigned, manufacturing the required blends according to the batch cards and mixing work instruction safely and with the specify requirements. The shift is Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3 PM.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required.
3-5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment; preferably automotive or bottling and packaging.
Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English.
Must have the ability to perform simple math calculations.
Must be computer literate.
Must be certified to drive all types of forklifts.
Computer experience and lift truck experience are required; must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing material according to batch cards and mixing work instructions safely and with the specify quality requirements.
Inspection and recording of finished batches.
Maintaining the material lot control information board.
Monitoring the integrity of mixes and shutting down operations if out of compliance.
Cleaning mixing equipment between batches.
Bulk filling of 55-gallon drums and 275-gallon totes as required.
Assisting on production lines as needed.
Assisting in the training of new mixers.
Promoting and following all safety guidelines and procedures, and recommending safety improvements as needed.
Recommend any process improvements that may help in your role.
Maintaining good housekeeping at all times.
Additional duties as required.
