About The Position

Linde’s structured summer internship is designed to expose students to key areas across its United States business. The intern will apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings while contributing to high-profile assignments in the operations group. Working under a mentor, the intern will complete a defined project intended to deliver meaningful value to the organization and learn about Linde’s products, processes, and functions while developing business and technical understanding. The role also includes developing marketing concepts, creating communication materials, and supporting project work that enhances customer outreach and business expansion.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate leadership through school or internship activities.
• Have hands-on experience from at least one relevant off-campus internship, cooperative program, or practical project.
• Be able to manage deadlines, organize information effectively, and contribute positively in a professional environment.
• Be motivated, eager to learn, and committed to building the foundation for a future career within Linde.

• Ideally be a rising sophomore or junior.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate water system design and control, including water bath vaporizers, chemical treatment, cooling tower corrosion and scaling, and pH monitoring.
• Assess plant measurement and forecasting methods, including pH probe control strategies and furnace infrared camera measurements for catalyst life and carbon margin prediction.
• Contribute to operations-group assignments and complete a defined project under the guidance of a mentor.
• Learn about Linde products, processes, and functions.
• Develop marketing concepts and create communication materials.
• Support project work that enhances customer outreach and business expansion.
