About The Position

The R&D Intern Lab Technician supports the R&D group with new product development and quality-control testing. The intern conducts experiments, organizes data, and helps maintain instruments and equipment. Work must be performed quickly, cleanly, and safely. This is a partial list of duties; other duties may become necessary as business conditions dictate.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Currently attending college and working toward a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to organize.
• Ability to take instructions.
• Ability to learn new processes and procedures.
• Ability to think independently and innovate.
• Ability to work safely.
• Ability to work in a group as well as independently.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience in chemistry or thermal testing.

Responsibilities

• Sample incoming raw materials.
• Conduct thermal and chemical laboratory experiments.
• Organize data and records in Excel spreadsheets.
• Maintain a lab notebook if required.
• Perform work in a quick, clean, and safe manner.
• Maintain instruments and equipment in proper working order.
