About The Position

MISCOwater, a UFT company, is a leading Manufacturers' Representative of process equipment for Water, Wastewater, & Industrial treatment in multiple Western states. We specialize in providing reliable, proven, innovative, and life cycle cost-effective solutions for municipal wastewater and water treatment, representing over 50 companies. The Chemical Feed Sales Specialist role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, and local general contractors in Northern California to promote sales and solutions. This position requires developing marketing strategies, exhibiting at trade shows, and collaborating with the team to optimize territory sales potential through various technologies. It is an outside sales role requiring in-person consultation, demonstration, and problem-solving skills with consultants, treatment plant personnel, and contractors.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the municipal water/wastewater industry, chemical feed sales, plant operations, or a related technical field.
  • Strong mechanical or technical aptitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with plant staff, engineers, contractors, and manufacturer representatives.
  • Comfortable managing multiple opportunities, deadlines, and customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout Northern California.
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, or a related field.
  • Great organizational and relationship skills.
  • Experience using CRM software; MISCOwater uses QuickBase.

Responsibilities

  • Expand existing relationships with end users, contractors, and engineers while building lasting relationships with new accounts.
  • Provide engineers and end users with a professional level of product promotion/selection, support, and follow-up to ensure project success and maximize sales revenue.
  • Travel within the assigned sales territory in Northern California up to three times per week.
  • Be self-motivated to set up meetings, product promotion events, and relationship-building activities to maintain frequent contact with the customer base.
  • Attend product training seminars and participate in local industry associations and trade shows.
  • Travel to represented companies for training on an as-needed basis.

  • Base salary range: $120,000–$155,000
