This is a potential trainee position for 2026, with opportunities to develop for other plants or grow into other leadership roles. Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials, operating over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.
Requirements
- Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering
- Commitment and engagement through a high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company
- Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision making skills
Responsibilities
- Support and participate in assigned project work.
- Support plant operations in achieving production goals.
- Partner with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments.
- Complete technical projects to gain an understanding of the operations of a quarry or aggregate site.
- Learn the mission of the production, maintenance, and quality departments and different jobs and functions.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
