About The Position

This role involves the preparation and processing of chemicals, including waste disposal, and working in compliance with safety regulations. The technician will contribute to risk assessments for new procedures, prepare battery cells through slurry mixing, electrode coating/casting, drying, and calendaring. They will also be responsible for cell assembly, conducting electrochemical experiments and measurements, and performing dissection of battery cells. Data collection, storage, consolidation, and visualization are key aspects, as is the setup, maintenance, and modification of equipment. The position supports the engineering team in various tasks.

Requirements

• Qualification as a chemical technician or relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in wet labs and working with hazardous chemicals
• Familiar with chemical safety procedures
• Reliable lab documentation (SOPs, logbooks)

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with glove boxes, electrode coating, and pouch cell assembly
• Experience sourcing and maintaining (battery) laboratory equipment
• Experience with characterization techniques such as XRD and SEM
• Experience with data collection, processing, consolidation, and visualization
