About The Position

The Willows of Ramsey Hill is a specialized memory care community dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered care for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other forms of memory loss. As part of the Episcopal Homes of Minnesota family, The Willows combines a warm, home-like environment with an experienced team committed to preserving each resident's dignity, independence, and quality of life. We are currently hiring a Chef to join our outstanding culinary team and support our mission of providing exceptional dining experiences for residents.

Requirements

• Prior food production experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Basic math skills for portioning and simple calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety and special diets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Physically able to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working in hot or cold environments

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare or senior care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to recipes, dietary guidelines, and production sheets.
• Ensure food meets standards for portion control, temperature, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area.
• Utilize leftovers effectively by creating marketable dishes.
• Complete production and tally sheets accurately.
• Report malfunctioning equipment or food shortages promptly.
• Follow all safety and food handling policies.
• Reduce waste through proper portion control and efficient production.
• Collaborate with the culinary team and complete related tasks as assigned.
