About The Position

Compass Group ESS Defence provides food service and hospitality support to Defence sites across Australia, delivering high-quality meals that support the wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel. We are seeking experienced Chefs for full-time and casual opportunities at Randwick Barracks and Victoria Barracks. These roles offer the chance to grow your career in professional kitchen environments that support Australia's Defence personnel, working alongside experienced hospitality professionals to prepare quality meals and contribute to exceptional dining experiences in a structured and rewarding environment.

Requirements

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Experience in commercial kitchens or catering environments
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Reliable, team-focused and able to work in structured environments
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals in a bulk cooking environment
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Support stock control, ordering and kitchen operations
• Ensure quality, portion control and food presentation
• Work collaboratively as part of a professional kitchen team
• Support meal services and functions as required
