Join our team as a skilled Chef De Partie at the Garden Restaurant in the National Gallery of Victoria! The Garden Restaurant at the National Gallery of Victoria offers a unique opportunity to contribute to exceptional dining experiences in a vibrant, artistic environment. This role involves the daily operations of the kitchen, providing high-quality seated lunches, with potential for evening services as business requires. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in a la carte restaurant service and a desire to make this a true destination restaurant.

Requirements

  • Certificate III Commercial Cookery or equivalent, with +2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Comfortable working under pressure, unsupervised and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention and respect for OH&S, Food Safety & HACCP regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Pasta making experience desirable.
  • Mediterranean/Modern Australian food background desirable.

Responsibilities

  • A la carte restaurant service experience essential.
  • Daily operations of the Garden Restaurant kitchen providing high quality seated lunches.
  • Predominately lunch service with evening services as business requires.
