About The Position
Eurest is seeking a growth-minded Chef Manager in Columbus, Ohio, to lead the culinary and food service operation. The role oversees the operation’s culinary management, including inventory, ordering, and receiving. It calls for menu-development and cost-control skills, with an emphasis on sourcing and using local food products, as well as a passion for sustainability. The position offers a salary of $70,000–$80,000. Contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant experience is preferred, along with knowledge of food and catering trends, production, sanitation, food-cost controls, presentation, and exposition cooking.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of HACCP.
- Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, a fine dining setting, or a restaurant, including inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
- Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food-cost controls, and presentation.
- Experience with exposition cooking.
- A passion for sustainability.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience are desirable.
- ServSafe certification is a plus.
