About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager to join our food operations team at Gracedale County Home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. In this hands-on role you will report to the Executive Chef. Will cook daily and oversee a team of approximately 8 culinary staff members. This is a great opportunity to grow your culinary career! This position typically follows a 5:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. schedule, with every other weekend coverage.
Requirements
- A background in food production ideally in a healthcare environment
- High volume food production experience
- Strong knowledge of safety and sanitation
- Knowledge of special diets
- Experience training and mentoring a culinary team with exceptional human resource and supervisory skillset
- An enthusiasm for working with a diverse set of people and are confident and warm
- A positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail
- Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
- Minimum Management Experience - 1 year
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily food production serving approximately 550 skilled care residents
- Assist with ordering and inventory management
- Train and mentor cooks
- Build strong client relationships while meeting the expectations of the client as well as Sodexo
- Utilize a strong supervisory/management skillset
