About The Position

Caterlink is seeking a Chef Manager for All Saints ER Primary School in Merton. This role involves ensuring the provision of nutritionally balanced and tasty food for students. The position is term-time only, working 39 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, with approximately 25 hours per week. Caterlink is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment and safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of cooking for up to 280 meals per day.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
  • Ensure the location meets statutory and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Enhance Caterlink's reputation for excellent food and service by exceeding client and customer expectations.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the location, including supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client school, recommending and implementing adjustments and improvements.
  • Communicate regularly with the line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets.
  • Support and train teams, leading by example to ensure everyone can excel, all training is completed, and performance is managed.
