About The Position

Chartwells provides bespoke fresh food solutions that are unique in the market across independent schools and universities. We are passionate about the role we play in supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of students. This role will see you leading a team of 8 staff across 3 campuses with service and culinary professionals across our kitchen and dining teams, while maintaining positive client relationships to meet the scope of business.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience at management level
Qualifications in hospitality with business management preferred
Experience in a comparable environment or within a multi-site catering environment
Certifications in Cookery ( Cert III or IV )
Ability to connect with key stakeholders and deliver superior service levels
Commercially savvy and knows how to identify and deliver on growth opportunities
Proactive leader who is professional, positive, supportive and motivated with experience in recruiting, mentoring, training and developing a team of hospitality professionals
An advocate for diversity and inclusion within the workplace
A Foodie at heart!

Responsibilities

Cost control and financial reporting
Catering at a high level for events and functions (internal and external stakeholders)
Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
Working across function and retail operations
Communicate and work collaboratively with the client on all aspects of delivering a quality service to achieve mutually rewarding outcomes
Developing leadership and employee capability, and foster a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovation
Driving operational efficiency to maximise financial results without compromising quality
