About The Position

Sticky Fingers Cooking is looking for enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors to bring hands-on cooking classes to kids throughout the Phoenix area. This role involves teaching fun, one-hour cooking classes for children ages 5-14, introducing them to new ingredients, cooking techniques, nutrition, and global cultures while building their confidence in the kitchen. The company provides training, recipes, equipment, and support. Responsibilities include shopping for ingredients, preparing the classroom, communicating with the Admin Team, and ensuring a safe and engaging experience for students. Classes are held Monday-Friday between 2:00-5:00 PM, with a requirement to teach at least two afternoons per week for full sessions lasting 6-12 weeks. Availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays is mandatory. Each class is one hour, but expect to spend approximately 1.4 hours on campus for setup and cleanup, plus arriving 20 minutes before class. This is a temporary position with the potential for year-round part-time employment based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

Experience teaching or coaching kids.
Reliable and punctual.
Enjoy creating a fun learning environment.
Reliable transportation.
Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Have (or be willing to obtain) a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate.
Have (or be willing to obtain) an Arizona Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Live or work within 15 minutes of the posted ZIP code.
Undergo a fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

Teach fun, one-hour cooking classes for kids ages 5-14 using provided recipes and curriculum.
Introduce new ingredients, cooking techniques, nutrition, and cultures from around the world.
Build confidence in students in the kitchen.
Shop for class ingredients.
Prepare the classroom.
Communicate with the Admin Team by phone and text.
Create a safe, engaging experience for every student.
