Located within the Pavilion is Stanley’s Bar and Grill, featuring the largest outdoor patio in Stanley Park, the perfect spot to enjoy a sunny summer day! We are looking for a Chef de Partie motivated by a passion for food and personal and professional growth.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in culinary roles
• Previous banquet experience
• Red Seal Certification (or equivalent)
• Food Safe Level 2 Certified (required)
• You THRIVE in a fast paced environment and can multi-task with ease
• You lead with a positive attitude, outgoing personality, and bring energy and enthusiasm to work every day!
• You're dedicated to providing truly unmatched guest experience
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a culinary experience of the highest quality, consistency, and creativity
• Ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and the daily preparation of meals from pre-determined menus, ensuring the food quality and presentation meets our dining standards
• Assist with menu creation, budget control and development of new ideas
• Provide instruction to the kitchen team and monitor kitchen service levels to ensure Guests’ needs are met
• Estimate daily production needs on a weekly basis and communicate production needs to kitchen personnel daily
• Prepare and cooks food of all types, either on a regular basis or for special Guests or functions
• Assist in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays
• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
• Recognize superior quality products, presentations, and flavor
• Follow proper handling and correct temperature of all food products
• Operate and maintains all department equipment and reports malfunctions
