Requirements

  • Strong command of cooking methods, knife work, and station-specific techniques.
  • Capable of directing junior staff and maintaining a calm, organized station.
  • Performs efficiently during high-volume service.
  • Ensures consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Clear, respectful communication with BOH and FOH teams.
  • 2–4 years in a professional kitchen required.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all prep, cooking, and plating for assigned station (grill, sauté, fry, pantry, etc.).
  • Ensure dishes meet portioning, flavor, and presentation standards every time.
  • Maintain full station readiness before, during, and after service.
  • Coach Commis Chefs and line cooks on techniques, recipes, and station procedures.
  • Uphold sanitation, labeling, storage, and temperature standards.
  • Track station-level inventory, minimize waste, and communicate ordering needs.
  • Work closely with Sous Chef and Executive Chef to ensure smooth ticket flow.
  • Maintain station tools and report equipment issues promptly.
