Haleon's Montreal (Saint-Laurent) site is a manufacturing facility for liquid, solid, and semi-solid health products, involving complex regulatory factors, technical processes, and high-risk activities. Haleon is currently seeking an Operational Excellence Lead to join the Montreal (Saint-Laurent) team.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in French is required for this position to ensure effective communication and compliance with our operational and regulatory standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, operations management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including several years in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or operations transformation.
  • Bilingualism required - Due to the nature of the job duties, candidates must be bilingual in French and English (written/spoken) to be considered, as in their role, the incumbent must work closely with external/internal stakeholders in other provinces/countries who do not speak French.
  • Demonstrated experience in team management and talent development in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as a strategic partner with leadership teams or senior managers.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying Lean, Six Sigma, TPM methodologies, or similar operational excellence systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing strategic projects and organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, engagement, influence, and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools and operational performance management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, food, consumer goods industry, or any highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as a member of a site leadership team.
  • Experience with TPM, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), HAPS, or any other structured operational excellence framework.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, SAP, or manufacturing performance analysis tools.
  • PMP certification or other project management certification.
  • Master's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a member of the site leadership team and contribute to the development and execution of the plant's operational strategy.
  • Lead, mobilize, and develop the Operational Excellence team to ensure the achievement of departmental objectives and talent development.
  • Define and prioritize the continuous improvement project portfolio based on the site's strategic priorities.
  • Deploy and evolve operational excellence programs, systems, and methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and other manufacturing best practices.
  • Collaborate with leaders from various departments to improve site performance, eliminate waste, optimize processes, and strengthen the culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop organizational capabilities through coaching, training, and mentoring of management teams and employees.
  • Monitor site performance indicators and support gap resolution using structured problem-solving approaches.
  • Act as the primary change agent for transformation initiatives impacting multiple site functions.
  • Support the identification and realization of opportunities for productivity improvement, cost reduction, and investment optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory requirements, and applicable compliance policies and standards.
