We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily tasks on the three-meal restaurant, ensuring high-quality food preparation, managing kitchen staff, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and service, and making sure financials goals are met. Needs to understand the culture of the hotel brand and the restaurant. The outlet will partner with an award winning Chef.

Requirements

  • Passionate about food and a minimum of 3-5 years of similar work experience.
  • Advanced knowledgeable of culinary operations, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
  • Excels at communication, both verbal and written.
  • Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.

Nice To Haves

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including prep, cooking, and plating
  • Develop and update menus with chef leading the concept
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff
  • Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are followed
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure proper maintenance
  • Enforce portion control and minimize waste
