Bio-K+, a Kerry company, is currently looking for a Sanitation/Production Team Lead to join our team. Permanent position with social benefits. NIGHT schedule - Sunday night to Friday morning, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (40 hours/week)

Requirements

  • Minimum of a college degree in biotechnology or food processing - OR - experience in the food, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology field.
  • Good knowledge of hygiene operations.
  • Good knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Aptitude for personnel management.
  • Mastery of French (oral and written).
  • Ability to provide practical training to new employees.
  • DEC or equivalent and experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to manage unforeseen situations and solve problems quickly.
  • Know how to calculate.
  • Conscientious in the execution of tasks.
  • Priority management.
  • Be attentive and observant of the needs of production and its environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Pasteurization is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of SAP (an asset), HACCP, GMP, H&S.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate a small team of sanitation attendants to ensure the sanitation of the plant and equipment.
  • Ensure sanitation operation deadlines are met and that defined quality, health and safety, and environmental procedures are followed. Ensure the sanitation schedule/task distribution is respected.
  • Confirm that periodic cleaning activities scheduled by the supervisor are completed according to the established schedule, and verify their compliance. Inform the supervisor of any difficulties.
  • Mobilize staff according to daily production/sanitation changes and needs, following supervisor's directives.
  • Inform the supervisor of the progress of the sanitation operation, deviations, difficulties, or anything else that could compromise its smooth running and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure employees prepare and test the proper functioning of each element of the line(s) and report any deviations to the supervisor before production starts.
  • Ensure employees have the necessary materials to perform their tasks. Replace them as needed and keep the supervisor informed of needs to maintain a basic inventory always available.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members to achieve common daily objectives. Provide support to team members to achieve sanitation-related operational objectives.
  • Participate in training and/or train new employees as needed.
  • With the help of maintenance, assist in the emergency repair of equipment used by sanitation (chemical dispensers, spray carts, hoses, etc.).
  • Ensure cleaning and sanitization meet established quality standards.
  • Complete all documents required by washing plans, HACCP, and quality control.
  • Prepare productions for the start of the day.
  • May be called upon, as needed, to participate in equipment cleaning.
  • Responsible for staff training and the smooth running of operations.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections and monitor pH of the product in the incubator.
  • Manage employee work hours (clock-in/out) for their team, as well as absences/vacations in collaboration with the supervisor.
  • All other related tasks.
