About The Position

Ebenezer is looking for a Cook/Chef to join our team at Jones-Harrison. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high-quality care. The culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Senior Living Community located in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time culinary services position includes 48 hours per two weeks, day/evening shifts from 11 am to 7 pm, and every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday. Ebenezer Ridges Care Center highlights a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Intergenerational Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. We are located across the street from Fairview Ridges Hospital at the I-35E and I-35W split in Burnsville, MN. Requirements

ServSafe certification, or must be acquired within 90 days of start date
Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications
Must have good problem-solving and time leadership skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

Vocational/technical training/education/degree
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Cooking experience in a similar environment
Scratch cooking experience

Responsibilities

Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes
Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards.
Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents
Set up line service
Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use
Assists with special events
Assists the Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
