About The Position

Assisting the in-house Chef at the Two Meeting Street Inn, a historic bed & breakfast in downtown Charleston. This role involves prepping, cooking, and serving breakfast items (8-10 am daily) and happy hour small bites (4-6 pm daily) for a maximum of 20 guests. The position requires multitasking, including grocery shopping, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean work area. It is a small house kitchen environment where interaction with club members is expected. The role requires executing recipes from the Head Chef and possessing upscale plating experience. This is an alternative to a hot line position, offering a flexible schedule with no work after 7 pm. The position is Full-time/part-time and requires independent planning, prepping, and execution of fine dining quality when the chef is unavailable.

Requirements

Ability to multitask: prep and cook, grocery shop, wash dishes, polish dishes, take out trash, and maintain a clean work area
Ability to interact with club members on a professional level
Ability to execute recipes from Head Chef
Upscale plating experience
Ability to plan, prep, and execute with attention to detail and fine dining quality independently
Positive, team-oriented attitude
