About The Position

Fieldstone of DeWitt, part of the WellSpire community, is a senior living community on a 14-acre campus in Clinton County. The Chef/Assistant Culinary Director supports food and beverage operations, including the Bistro, household kitchens, and dining areas, under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Director. The role helps maintain food quality and dietary standards, supports and trains the food and beverage team, and ensures dining and kitchen spaces and supplies are properly maintained.

This is a first-shift, full-time position, with rotating holidays and weekends as needed. The stated annual salary range is $46,342.40–$58,396.00, with compensation based on years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall operation of the Bistro, household kitchens, and dining areas.
• Assist with staffing schedules.
• Inspect and monitor food for visual appearance, quality, proper temperature, portion size, and dietary needs.
• Assist with the interview process under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Director.
• Train food and beverage team members and monitor their performance.
• Seek resident involvement in menu planning and obtain feedback on service.
• Direct and schedule care and cleaning of dining and kitchen areas.
• Stock and organize food and supply storage areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete physical inventory as directed.
• Perform absent team members’ duties when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
