Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and understand instructions
  • Proficient in use of the computer
  • Must have a solid organizational, analytical problem solving and communication skills
  • Follow good sanitation and housekeeping practices
  • Compliance with food safety policies
  • Follow GMPs and SOPs
  • Ability to manipulate, lift and position heavy equipment
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment
  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel and crawl, occasionally climb steps and safety ladders, continuous walking and standing
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Requires regular attendance

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the quality and appearance of the product.
  • Operate brine tanks by filling and/or emptying cheese.
  • Maintain brine level.
  • Maintain and clean the equipment.
  • Wash brine lines.
  • Complete salinity checks, core temperatures, product sampling, and brine sampling.
  • Must be able to appropriately handle and use cleaning chemicals.
  • Requires regular attendance.
