Cheese Team Member
About The Position
At Wegmans, the mission is to help customers live healthier, better lives through food. As a team member in the Cheese Shop, you will work with others to educate customers about the department’s unique cheeses and other offerings, and help them find meal components and pairings. You will help ensure the freshest and best variety of cheeses are on display and available throughout the day, ripened to perfection. This role suits someone with a passion for cheeses from around the world who enjoys educating customers and delivering incredible service in a fast-paced environment. The role is part time and requires afternoon and evening availability, including weekends. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. The listed pay range is $17 to $17.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Availability for afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends.
- Passion for cheeses from around the world and enjoyment of educating customers and providing service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Proactively approach customers, provide incredible service, and answer questions.
- Take orders, package products, and keep shelves stocked throughout the day.
- Continue growing product knowledge and stay up to date on new and featured items.
- May unload daily deliveries and stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with new and existing products and inventory.
